Biking and Hiking
Biking and hiking are great ways to get to Peirce Mill!
The Reservation 630 Trail (formerly known as the Melvin Hazen Trail) leads from Connecticut Avenue between Sedgewick and Quebec Streets NW to Picnic Grove #1 and Peirce Mill. This trail and the Western Ridge Trail have steep sections.
For an easier walk, try the closed sections of Beach Drive–which ends just north of the mill–or the many paths around the mill.
There are several bike paths that lead through the area, and bike racks near the mill.
The paths around Peirce Mill are busy–please remember to travel safely and share the road!
