Virtual Winter Wassail with ANXO Cider for Friends of Peirce Mill Members

Celebrate the season with a warm winter cocktail inspired by a traditional English wassail punch and created by DC’s own ANXO Cider. Join special guest Tom Oliver of Oliver’s Cider and Perry and ANXO co-founder Sam Fitz as we ring in a healthy and happy new year for Peirce Orchard—and for all of us!
A wassail festival wakes up apple trees in the depths of winter and ensures a bountiful harvest in the fall. Last year the Friends of Peirce Mill hosted our first Winter Wassail. Though we can’t gather in person this year, the custom continues online.
Pick up some ANXO Cider—or have it delivered anywhere in DC. Then find a cozy spot at home—or settle in under a tree. Learn about the English tradition of Wassail, gather a few pots and pans, make some noise, and toast the New Year!

This wassail-inspired kit is available in two sizes, and includes pommeau, local apple juice, a whistle, and a wassail song. Just follow the enclosed recipe card to enjoy this warm winter beverage at home. A non-alcoholic version is also available.
