Peirce Mill was built almost 200 years ago, using Oliver Evans’ revolutionary milling system. Elevators moved grain and flour between special machines that could clean, grind, dry, and sift. In 2011, the Friends of Peirce Mill and the National Park Service worked together to repair the waterwheel and millstones. Now we’re restoring the rest of the building! Join us for a virtual tour of all four floors of Peirce Mill, and learn more about this 19th-century mechanical marvel.
