We’re bringing back the tea house at Peirce Mill!
Learn about the female entrepreneurs who ran the tea house in the early 20th century, and about the pivotal role businesses like these played in the struggle for women’s rights.
Visitors will also enjoy light refreshments and period music “Down by the Old Mill Stream.” Up at the barn, we’ll be showing a short film about Hattie Sewell, who managed the tea house from 1920 to 1921.
All ages are welcome at the free event and creative dress is encouraged!
