Picnic in the Park

For more than a century, Peirce Mill has been one of DC’s favorite picnic spots. We’re celebrating that long tradition on Thursday evening, September 26, with our first-ever Picnic in the Park, featuring , DC’s Queen of the Blues, Carly Harvey.

Carly performed at the Mid-Atlantic Grain Fair last fall, and we’re delighted she’ll be returning to Peirce Mill in September. Carly  explores her Native American roots to create a unique blend of traditional Jazz scat and indigenous vocables.  Carly and her band will perform a mix of 2oth century standards and contemporary songs.
