The Winter Wassail is an ancient English tradition, held at the coldest time of year to wake up trees slumbering in the orchard and ensure a bountiful harvest in the coming year.

Friends of Peirce Mill Members are invited to a Winter Wassail at Peirce Mill, featuring cider and mead from Silver Wheel Cellars in Silver Spring and baked goods made with flourand cornmeal from Deep Roots Milling in Nelson County, Virginia.
